EXO-K, “We want to go on ‘Running Man’ and develop our superpowers”

We don’t know what kind of super powers they’ve developed, but EXO-K, who pulls out the souls of audiences whenever they go on stage, pursues a performance and live that is close to perfect. The more you listen, the more you get addicted to the title song, ‘MAMA,’ and to let people know about their concept as a new star from an alien planet, they plan to stick to a mysterious image for the time being.

“Because we are still rookies, we are still unsatisfied with our preparation for appearing on variety shows. Also, because our principal occupation is a musician, we think it is important to first get accepted by the population with our performance and music.” – Suho

 Throughout the 100 days of promotion, the initial explosive used to introduce EXO, they displayed the team’s motive and each member’s individual abilities. Although because the ‘idol noble family,’ SM Entertainment heart and soul was put into producing this boy group and they had the greatest promotion, the mental pressure was very big, through this, they joined together and exhausted themselves with practice, so you can see the result as they are being praised for showing the best performances.

One of the unique points of EXO is that each member possesses a superpower. With Suho (water), Baekhyun (light), Chanyeol (fire), Kai (teleportation), Sehun (wind), and D.O (earth), each member has a power that matches with their individual images, and it looks like they all are satisfied.

“If you watch the teasers, you’ll know, but I was the first to introduce with the teasers, and searched out the other members with my teleportation. Using my superpower teleportation, I joined the members together as one. (Then when else do you use your power?) We cannot tell you how our endless superpowers are used, but please anticipate it” – Kai

After knowing about their superpowers, how would it be if they used them on SBS variety show <Running Man>? At this question, they paused for a moment. EXO-K, as expected, picked the <Running Man> as the variety program that they want to appear on.

All the members are very active. They also like running around. (We went to see EXO-K’s superpowers used on a <Running Man> special) Yes, we also want to develop our superpowers on <Running Man> (laughter)”

The EXO-K members, who were very respectful and spoke very reasonably during the photoshoot and waiting times, decreased their amount of speech in front of the camera and made mistakes, showing their younger sides. Of course, out of them, there is a witty member that has a responsiveness with the speed of light that makes you say “Yes! That’s it!” and slap your knees.

“I think Chanyeol and Baekhyun will do well on variety shows, and Sehun and Suho will do well in acting. The two of us (Kai + D.O) can stay at home and cook (laughter).” – Kai

It is a lie to say that they don’t want to get first place on a music program and win the rookie award at the end of the year. That’s because any rookie group would place their goals there. Rather than figurative or special plans, EXO-K wants to be like their company seniors who are a step faster in improving with the fast trends. They have a certainty that after that, they can attempt at acting or variety shows.

“I played instruments in the past, but since I am a dance singer, I am focusing on dance practice. After establishing my location in EXO-K, I want to try to practice instruments again and attempt at composing and writing lyrics” (Chanyeol)

“If I have the chance, I want to do both acting and variety shows. I want to try doing everything, as a so-called univeral artist.” (Baekhyun)
