[REVIEW] 150525 'EXODUS' (EXO-M Tao Version) Album Review

Hi guys! I'm back for another review. This time I'm reviewing the EXO-M Tao Version of EXO's second album, EXODUS. You can see my most recent review of the Kai version by clicking hereLet's get started.

The reason I decided to add this specific album to my collection is because of the rumors saying that SM Entertainment was going to stop printing the Tao versions of Exodus. I suppose I could have gotten the K version, but I already have one of those, so I thought I might as well get the Chinese one.

I ordered it around May 11th, and it literally came a little over a week later. So I can tell you from experience, this buyer is awesome. They ship your stuff in a very reasonable amount of time. I suppose it also depends on which country you live in, but I will definitely be buying from this supplier in the future. It cost me around $23.00. There were only a few copies left in stock, so I made sure I grabbed mine immediately.

As you know, the M versions of the album are covered in a metallic looking silver. The EXO logo is located in the top left corner. I noticed that logo is sort of upside down and tilted. It thought that was kind of weird, but okay.  With the silver backing, everything really stands out a lot more. If that logo was on the K album, I didn't even notice it before.

The spine of Tao's album makes up the second part of the logo. I believe they go in order of the release of the path-code teasers. So, in this case, if you were to stack Kai's album above Tao's it would form the top part of the logo. I admit, I think I am a little biased towards the M version. The visual effect of how well the silver and black go together is just amazing. It got even better once I opened the front cover.

I was expecting a white CD, but to my delighted surprise, it was black! It's like, every place in the K version that was white, is black in the M version. It looks really good to me. Anyway, we're greeted by Tao's gorgeous face on the right hand side.

Turning a few more pages and I finally get to see who I have recieved as a photocard. I was really hoping for Tao, but instead I got Baekhyun. Ughh...omg...why? Just kidding, lol. It was a nice surprise, because I haven't even seen his photo card before. Like in previous purchases, it comes with coupons for the SM Town Coex Artium, a Genie online album registration code, and an Ivy Club photo card courtesy of the supplier. At least I have Tao's face on that.

The music this time around is great. It's always a wonderful feeling to listen to songs you already know in a different language. Even though you can't understand, you know the meaning and feeling behind the lyrics. My favorite part was Tao's rap solo on Call Me Baby. He does the same part as Chanyeol. I sincerely, honestly hope we get to see EXO as 10 members perform their songs in Chinese. Especially since many of the shows they have for EXOluXion are scheduled for China. Let's hope for a full stage of performers! After all, the 'x' in EXOluXion stands for 10.

These are some of my favorite photos in the album:

Now that I've accomplished the task of listening to the track list in Chinese and Korean, as well as experiencing the album itself in both languages, I think I can definitely  say I'm ready for the repackage. This was the first time I've ever gotten an album from EXO, and I think I honestly enjoyed the entire experience.

Here's a last photo of everything together.
