[WRITER'S NOTE] 150423 Are You Sure Tao Is Leaving?

HELLO EVERYONE. I'm one of the authors here at EXOdicted. With all the recent things going on, I thought I'd put everything in the forefront so that everyone is clear. First of all, though it is being broadcasted by many popular media outlets (Soompi, Koreaboo, Allkpop), Huang Zi Tao has NOT officially left the group EXO. Let me tell you why.

In the interview between Sina and Tao's Father, the previously mentioned media outlet reported:"Tao Has Agreed To Leave EXO." This is completely false.

What people think the translation said :

Tao has agreed to leave EXO.

What it really said:

Tao has agreed to BRING UP contract termination.

"Can KB and AKP get their facts right. "Tao has agreed to leave EXO" is NOT the gist nor the accurate translation of what Tao's father said....CLARIFICATION: Tao's father said Tao "最终同意我们提出解约" which means [agreed to "us" BRINGING UP contract termination] "_@sukaihan

So basically everything you've heard today claiming that Tao has already left the group, is wrong. These mistakes in translation happen sometimes. Media outlets sometimes refrain from checking their sources to make sure a translation is accurate.

Also, have we even gotten an official statement from SM Ent. or Tao himself? No. Until either side comes out with a statement on the matter, don't believe everything you hear. When things get transferred to the international community, they get jumbled up sometimes. Let's all sit tightly, and patiently wait for an official statement on the matter. Rumors can spread like wildfire, so make sure it's official before you believe it.
